Venda myths and Legends tour

The Venda region has a rich history of myths and legends, some still influences their daily life even today. This tour will bring you to the heart of it: Lake Fundudzi. This lake is surrounded by mountains and special permission has to be obtained to visit this sacred Lake. No-one washes or swims in this lake. Lake Fundudzi lies hidden from the view in a valley and one may visit it with permission from the Priestess of the lake. In addition, some other mystical attractions of Ancient Venda include the Thathe Vonde Forest, The Dzata ruins and the Phiphidi waterfalls.
